Why minimums exist
Every decorated order has fixed work behind it: preparing the artwork, setting up screens or embroidery files, and running test pieces. Spreading that work over more pieces is what makes promotional products affordable. It is also why the price per piece drops as you order more.
If you need fewer pieces
- Ask about a smaller run. Some products allow quantities below the listed minimum, sometimes for an extra fee.
- Choose a low-minimum item. Awards, many apparel styles and some drinkware can be ordered in small quantities.
- Compare the math. Sometimes ordering the minimum costs about the same as a smaller order with a less-than-minimum fee, and you end up with extras for the next event.
When quantity is flexible
If you are unsure how many you need, ask for pricing at two or three quantities. Seeing the price at 100, 250 and 500 pieces side by side makes it easier to decide whether a larger order is worth it. See the price guide for typical costs.
